You don’t need a million dollar budget to elevate your home through high end interior design. In this episode of House Stories with Herman’s Furniture, we show you ways to make your space look more expensive!

Taking Inspiration for Their Own High End Interior Design Look

This episode focuses on a homeowner’s opportunity to design the home of their dreams by incorporating splurge items in strategic places and paying special attention to little details. When looking at photos of beautiful homes online, the homeowners gathered ideas they hoped would translate into their own space. What they discovered while working with their designer from Herman’s Furniture is that you don’t need a million-dollar budget to achieve an elevated look through high end interior design.

A High End Transformation of the Living Areas

The tour begins in the most active part of the home, which features an open floor plan including the kitchen and TV room. The designer chose a neutral paint color and wood flooring to serve as a timeless canvas. To keep the busy kitchen area clutter-free while providing comfortable seating, the designer selected backless leather bar stools. Over the casual dining area, an iron chandelier lends an architectural elegance. Rather than placing a full-size dining table in this additional kitchen space, the designer opted for a quaint bistro table.

The area off to the side of the kitchen became the perfect sitting room for TV watching and casual conversation. To make it comfortable, Herman’s interior designer chose a sectional for lounging, anchored by a soft, textured area rug.

To reflect the homeowner’s love for nature, the space was accessorized with a driftwood coffee table, a collection of wooden wall art, and floral fabric accent pillows. For the window treatments, custom roller shades were chosen to easily let sunlight in or block out the light for movie nights.

Multiple TV Rooms Help Complete a High End Interior Design Elevation

Recognizing that not everyone in the family wants to watch the same TV show, the designer suggested transforming another living space into a second TV room, drawing on styles the homeowner liked. To give this room a feminine touch, the designer started with a tufted sofa featuring a reversed camelback. A leather recliner and cozy club chairs were added to keep the space from feeling too formal.

The Finishing Details

Finally, layers of textures and mixed metals were incorporated through the tables, area rug, accessories, and a beautiful marble wall surrounding the fireplace.
